The brushed beanie pattern is a beginner friendly pattern, that also works great as a scarp yarn project. The pattern is worked with two strands held together, one strand of mohair/alpaca and one strand of wool. With the stripes it equals to four strands in total. The beanie is worked in the round and is connected at the brim to avoid curling. It’s finished off with decreases at the top of the beanie, either by using DPN or magic/travelling loop technique. After blocking the beanie it’s brushed out for an unique fluffy look.

Size available: S (54-55 cm), M (57-59 cm), L (60-62 cm)

Materials needed:
5 mm circular needles (40 cm in total)
Measuring tape
Stitch markers
Tapestry needle
Brush (preferably a dog brush)

In the pattern there are multiple suggestions of yarn choices. Make sure that the strands held together correspond to aran weight. The total yarn usage is:

46 (48) 51 g of color 1 using Merinor Soft Merino
11 (12) 13 g of color 2 using Woolevo Kid Mohair.
