About the Pattern

Bubbles is a versatile pattern that is created using the overlay mosaic crochet and tapestry crochet techniques and it is worked in rows.
The pattern is ideal for crocheters at an advanced beginner to intermediate level who are fully comfortable with basic crochet stitches such as chains, US single crochet (UK double crochet), and US double crochet (UK treble crochet). Experience with mosaic crochet is an added bonus - especially for those looking to make the tapestry version as pictured.

The pattern is repeatable, so you can create whatever size, and object you choose. It also comes with 2 options, a multicoloured tapestry version and a simpler 2 colour version that doesn’t require the tapestry technique.

• Mosaic crochet technique compendium: Full description of the mosaic crochet technique and links to tutorials and technique videos that helped me to learn when I first started out.

The pattern is available in English only and includes two versions of the written instructions, one using US crochet terms and the other using UK crochet terms.

Materials

You can use any yarn and corresponding hook for this pattern and you will need at least 2 contrasting colours. For the tapestry version, you will need 5 colours.
Remember that mosaic crochet benefits from a tight tension so if you are a loose crocheter it might be best to drop down half a hook size for this project.

If using Hobbii Friends Cotton 8/4 Mercerised with a 3mm hook like the cushion shown in this listing, you will need:

• 1 ball each of the colours Sunflower (24), Pink (47), and Capri Blue (90)
• 2 balls of White (01)
• 4 balls of Black (124)
• Cushion insert or other stuffing (e.g. fibre fill)

This will create a cushion measuring approximately 34cm x 38cm (13.5” x 15”).
