The Budapest Balaclava is designed to keep your head, neck, and upper chest warm. It functions as a versatile hood which can be worn up or draped around your neck - offering practicality while also looking cosy and stylish. The I-cord drawstrings at the front opening allow you to adjust the fit for extra warmth on those extra cold days.
It is worked top down seamlessly, beginning with the mid section and followed by picking up stitches for the sides. Increases and decreases shape the hood, while 1x1 twisted rib cinches the neck. German short rows create a V-shaped front for added chest coverage while avoiding bulk at the back of the neck. A folded 1x1 facing forms a tunnel for the i-cord drawstring, and finally you work the i-cord.
