Includes a 2 and 3 color version in one pattern. You will need at least 2 or 3 contrasting colors of bulky weight (5) yarn. Utilizes ribbing, stockinette, and purl.

My testers used a variety of other bulky yarns, or held smaller gauge yarns together. The listed gauge above is approximate. Testers reported slight variations based on needle material (wood or metal) and on yarn choice. For example, Mecha is slightly lighter than most bulky weights. I found my best gauge to be 11x14 over 3x3”.

I primarily used Hickory Lane Fiber Co 3-ply bulky and Emma’s Yarn Bodacious Bulky.

Experience with colorwork is not required, but does help when carrying two to three colors throughout the pattern.

One of my testers also made each row of “buds” a different color for a rainbow effect. The possibilities are endless. Enjoy! #buddingbeanie on instagram.
