“Auf der Mauer, auf der Lauer”…this is a song about a small bug, sitting on a wall on qui vive…. which every child in Germany knows.

This pattern is taken from an old pattern book, I got from my grandma. It’s named “Bug” (“Wanze”)…

Plain, simple but with an unostentatious elegance… knit your own…. and see, how the bug’s dancing…

Easy to adjust in length and width. For the pattern you need 75gr. of that lovely, light and airy yarn.

Errata found: (08.05.2012) When I layed in bed last night, I realized, I’ve done something wrong with the abbreviations
First: in the lace-chart it’s not “skp” but “sk2togpsso” I described the right thing to do but added the wrong short cut
Second: in the border-chart you do work “skp” but not how I described it in the abbreviations: slip one stitch knitwise, knit the next stitch and pull the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch (left-leaning-decrease).

I always try to use the common short cuts in my charts. So perhaps you don’t stumble over this jumble of abbreviations… :)
