I combined a couple of ideas in the motif for this cowl. I used an oval shape with a separate interior motif and added a small filler shape between the motifs. The oval shape reminded me of the shape of Early Medieval fibulas/brooches, so I called this Bulas which is Old English for brooch.

Contrast Colour (CC) Lang Mille Colori 380 m / 200 g (416 yds / 7.1 oz), 1 ball. Colour 946.0009 (multi-colour). Any currently available Light Worsted (#3) yarn with similar yardage may be substituted.
