Keeping warm this winter is looking & feeling really good with the new “Bunches of seeds” cowl and hat~
Sometimes matching ones knits can be a really good thing and this pair proves that point well.

The cowl has two different ribbed borders which frame the wider middle body, knitted in a richly textured seed stitch pattern. The one size cowl measures 9” in height, 21” around the bottom border and 24” around the middle body.

The hat comes in two sizes and measures in the bottom ribbing 19”/20.5”, the middle fuller body is 21.5”/22.5” and the height is 9”/10”. respectively.

Both patterns are entirely written.

Yarns
Easy care Chunky yarn cakes, 130 yards/100 grams per cake in a chunky weight. One skein needed for either one of the projects, so two skeins for the set. Kits at Yarnz2go.

Notions needed
Cowl: US size 10.5 (6.5 mm) circular needle 16” (42 cm) in length.
Hat: US size 9 (5.5 mm) needle 16” (42 cm) in length.
Hat: US size 9 (5.5 mm) optional double pointed needles to decrease the crown.
A stitch marker to mark the beginnings of rounds.
Tapestry needle for finishing.

Gauge
Cowl 12 sts and 22 rows in seed stitch pattern.
Hat 11 sts and 24 rows in 4” of seed stitch pattern.

Techniques applied
Knitted and purled in the round, increasing, decreasing, binding off, weaving in ends.
