My inspiration for naming this shawl was the beautiful color of this yarn. It reminded me of berries on the vine. This pattern is a quick and easy knit consisting of a two section repeat. It is very easy to memorize.

The eyelet and ribbed variation give this piece a nice texture. The shawl begins with a cast on of 4 stitches and grows asymmetrically to create a long and shallow shawl. Great for throwing over your shoulders or wrapping around your neck.

It is a perfect project for that one skein of special fingering weight yarn!

I used one skein of Mechita fingering weight yarn; 420 yds (384 meters), 100 grams (3.53 ounces) 100% wool in color “Jupiter” #49 for this project. Any fingering weight or sock yarn of your choice will work well too.

Finished dimensions are 88 inches/232 cm (longest side) by 16 inches/40 cm (deepest point). This measurement is after blocking.

I hope you enjoy knitting this design!
