Bursting With Pride bunting/flag
Sometimes you’re just bursting with pride for someone special. And to show your love and appreciation you can now make them a Bursting With Pride bunting and/or flag to celebrate them or their accomplishments. And just as important, celebrate yourself when you feel proud with a bunting made of your favourite colours and yarns!
This design is easy to make, it can be made by beginner Tunisian crocheters. It uses the Tunisian Full stitch which is explained in the pattern with a photo tutorial. Besides easy it’s also quick and a perfect pattern to use up your odds, ends and scraps from your stash.
Dimensions
Triangle size depends on yarn weight used and number of rows made. Each row adds length and width.
Bunting samples:
Length: 10 - 14 cm/4 - 5,5 inch
Width: 10 - 14 cm/4 - 5,5 inch
Mini flags:
Length: 4 cm/1,5 inch
Width: 4 cm/1,5 inch
Yarn and Yardage
Any yarn in any weight, grab your leftovers and start making.
Samples used fingering weight, sport and DK weight (fingering held double). Each triangle used between 4 - 6 grams of yarn.
Gauge
Designed for any gauge.
In the samples, symmetrical row and stitch gauge resulted in triangles with equal length and width measurements.
Make sure you’re happy with the drape of the fabric, go up a hook size or two if the fabric is stiff. The well-known Tunisian curl will disappear with blocking.
