skills: know how to ch (chain), sc (single crochet), & fpDc (front post Double crochet, for vertical lines) & fpTc (front post Triple crochet, for diagonal lines), which are the same as regular dc & tc except after the initial yarn over(s) you insert hook not into the top loops but in & around the post & out the front, pulling body of st (stitch) toward you, then continue with yarn over & pull through & rest of st as usual; if needed, youtube search ‘front post double crochet’ & ‘front post triple crochet’ for helpful video demos

hook: F/3.75mm
yarn: one skein aran weight Lana Grossa Linea Pura Organico organic cotton in color #017 or other aran/worsted weight yarn

This pattern is for an adult size, so for a child’s size, simply subtract an equal number of stitches from the beginning & end of each row as needed.
