This is a pattern for Butterfree, from Pokemon! It’s an extra-special plushie that I’m quite proud of, since I managed to design the wings to be able to fold back when you want to make the doll sit without them getting in the way. There’s also a pattern included for the optional little scarf accessory, which I really think brings the whole thing together.

The gauge provided is the generic gauge for Caron Simply Soft and a 4mm hook, but gauge is not important to this work. It’s more important that you use a hook that gives you a firm, tight weave to ensure there aren’t gaps that expose the stuffing. If you use a different yarn, be sure to make test swatches to ensure you’re using an appropriate hook.
