This cowl uses cables and yarn-overs to create a lattice around rosettes. The gauge was slightly loose to compensate for the pull of the cables. While the sample used fingering-weight yarn, a heavier yarn could be substituted for a wider cowl.

The sample worked up at 7.5 inches wide and 25.5 inches long or 51 inches in circumference (19 x 65 cm, 130cm) and used 302 yards (275M) of fingering-weight yarn.

Two cable needles are recommended. Two stitch markers are suggested to mark the borders. Also needed are a tapestry needle and some scrap yarn for the provisional cast-on.
