I had two sources of inspiration for this pattern: a wonderful skein of hand-dyed yarn and the desire for well-fitted mitts.

Slipped stitches are just perfect to showcase colors of hand-dyed yarn. The colors travel along your arm and you can enjoy the changes while knitting it and using it. The shape is achieved by decreases and increases, which adjust it perfectly to your forearm.

The final product was more than vintage. It looked like an ancient armor, coming from old age. The name was chosen to reinforce the feeling of an artifact lost in time.

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • Wool is the best option for this project. The design is fitted and you will need elasticity for comfort.
