This was designed for a friend of the family that is a Shakespeare scholar. While this pattern shouldn’t be too difficult to follow, the precision needed for the lettering may be a little more difficult for someone that is not comfortable in Corner to Corner (C2C), however I think it might be possible.

A 4mm hook is used for the entire project. Big Twist Value is my go to for most things now. This blanket used 9 skeins of Wine, 2 skeins of Cream, and 2 skeins of Varsity Gold.

To use yarn or hook size other than those called for in this pattern: Crochet the first three squares. Do not cut the yarn, but hold your place on the yarn and pull out the squares. Measure what was used and divide by 3. This is the number of inches you will need per square. Multiply this by the number of squares per color (listed below). Divide by 36 to give you the total yardage needed for each color.

Wine 7,193
Cream 977
Varsity Gold 1,030
