Materials
1. US Size 0 (2mm) set of 5 dpns or circular needles (for Magic Loop method)
2. Light fingering weight yarn 231y/50 g (211m/50g). You will need about 325 y/70 g total: Background color – 162 y / 35 g, Contrast color – 162 y / 35 g. Plus small amounts of red, black, orange, and blue – optional for embroidery.
3. Tapestry needle (for duplicate stitch and/or embroidery)

Notes
1. Size: The mittens are 70 stitches in the hand part. With recommended yarn, needles, and gauge the mittens should fit an 8” circumference hand. To make larger size mittens use larger needles or thicker yarn.
2. Stranded colorwork: Follow the charts from right to left. Make sure to catch longer floats using preferred method.
3. Duplicate stitch: Some details are added after the knitting is completed with duplicate stitch or embroidery. Refer to the table of symbols and embroidery reference chart for guidelines on adding details.
