A cable pattern like a chain -
Which I associate with strong and unbreakable connection.
In this shawl you will start with a ribbing pattern giving the tips of the shawl. The ribbing pattern will be expanded successively and then the cable pattern starts from the middle to the edge by inserting more cables. If you want to lengthen the shawl – taking into consideration that you will need more yardage – you can work more repeats before reducing the cable pattern successively and mirroring the first part.

Size
180x 10-30cm

Yarn
660m Cashmerino by Featherfin yarn (80% Merino, 20% Cashmere, 250m/273yards per 100g) or another yarn or yarn combination (Fingering + Lace) which gives you a DK weight yarn and needed gauge.

Needle / hook
4mm (US 6) cable needle 40cm – or a needle which gives you the required gauge.

Tapestry needle
1 stitch marker
Cable needle same size (4mm) like working needle

Gauge
29 stitches and 28 rows giving 10cm (4”) knitted in 1/1 ribbing after washing and blocking.

Ein Zopfmuster wie eine Kette – ich verbinde damit eine starke und unzerbrechliche Verbindung.

Bei diesem Schal beginnst Du mit einem Rippenmuster, das die Enden des Schals bildet. Das Rippenmuster wird sukzessive erweitert, und dann beginnt das Zopfmuster von der Mitte bis zum Rand, indem weitere Zöpfe eingefügt werden. Wenn Du den Schal verlängern möchtest – unter Berücksichtigung des dadurch benötigten Garns – kannst Du mehrere Rapporte arbeiten, bevor Du das Zopfmuster sukzessive verkleinerst und den ersten Teil spiegelst.

4mm (US 6) Rundstricknadel min. 40cm – oder eine Nadel die ein schönes Maschenbild ergibt und Du die Maschenprobe erreichst.

Zopfnadel mit ungefähr der gleichen Größe wie die Arbeitsnadel (4mm)

Maschenprobe
29 Maschen und 28 Reihen ergeben 10cm (4”) im 1/1 Rippenmuster nach dem Waschen und spannen.
