Cabled raglan sweater
by Eva Murphy
- My interpretation of an Aran sweater made from ‘Donegal Heather Yarn’ I bought from Ó Máille in the color ‘Forest Green’.
- 3 skeins, each 250g/425m, were used.
- It’s a raglan (top-down) sweater that incorporates cables and stitches I found from different sources (credited in the pdf).
- The adult wearing the sweater in the photo is a size S/M and 165cm tall for reference. There are no other size options in this particular pattern.
- Materials needed: 3mm and 4mm circular needles, cable needle, stitch markers, scissors and a tapestry needle.
Measurements of this sweater after blocking:
- Bust/torso circumference: 104cm
- Length (under neck ribbing to bottom edge): 55cm
- Length of sleeve (shoulder to wrist): 55cm
- Sleeve circumference: 38cm
- Neck opening circumference: 31cm
This is the first pattern I’ve ever published so you’ll have to forgive me if there are some little mistakes. If you have any questions about it, don’t hesitate to ask me!
Updated version: I have added charts to the pattern and fished out some mistakes. Enjoy!
