A new and improved split brim hat. Now with more pom poms and cables! I designed and knit the original split brim hat pattern for one of my daughters when she was 2. It has been my most popular pattern, with over 800 projects on ravelry. That little girl is turning 7! And she recently asked me for a new winter hat. So, in honor of the 5 year anniversary of the Split Brim Toddler Hat, I have created a new, cabled version.

The hat is a super quick knit in super bulky yarn. If you’ve never knit cables before this would be a great first pattern for you to give them a try!
