A whimsical combination of cables, stockinette and reverse stockinette creates a warm and attractive cowl. Directions are for two sizes but easily altered to suit personal preference.

Two sets of written instructions: a chart where all rows with the same stitch pattern are listed by number together and also a line by line description of the 16 pattern rows in order. Chart included.

Pattern calls for provisional cast on and includes detailed instructions on how to graft (kitchener stitch) in pattern. If you are unfamiliar or uncomfortable with provisional cast on (as this designer once was!) just cast on, bind off and seam.

250 to 400 yds worsted yarn. Solid color or single color tonal is best. Due to the textured nature of this pattern, multicolored or strongly variegated yarns are not recommended
Various weights of yarn may be substituted and will alter width somewhat.
