This pattern is dedicated to the founder of the Australian Crochet Community Facebook group, Colleen O’Neill, and the other admins of the group. It can be a thankless job at times, but their work makes for a drama-free environment to enjoy seeing beautiful WIPs and HOTHs.

This pattern is for intermediate to advanced crocheters.

The pattern is designed so that you can change the size of the bag’s base, and the height. You can make the straps to any length or width.

There are small charts in each row of the written pattern to assist with visualising the order of stitches on one side of the shawl and the placement of stitches relative to the row below.

Stitches include:
two-double crochet clusters
three-double crochet clusters
bean stitch
back post double crochet
back post double crochet three together
chain
double crochet
double crochet two together
double crochet three together
extended double crochet
front post double crochet
half double crochet
single crochet

Please ensure you read the pattern notes at the beginning of the document.

At the end of the documents there’s a series of charts for the three sizes. There’s a whole chart included for the purpose of understanding how the “blown up” pieces of charts link together.
