The striking patterns found on the foliage of calathea plants were the inspiration behind this design. These tropical stunners are full of bold color and texture, and absolutely beautiful. Similarly, Calathea Tee pattern plays with the contrasts between two colors to produce a piece full of visual interest.

The tee is worked from the top down seamlessly in the round with the yoke. The neckline, sleeve cuffs, and hem are decorated with the two-color brioche ribbing. The back neck is shaped with short rows for a comfortable fit. The stripes are texturally highlighted with purl ridges.

Make Calathea your own by choosing the length of the garment to fit your needs perfectly, altering the sleeve length, and, of course, playing with colors! You can use any number of colors for the stripes, transforming the tee into a perfect stash busting project.
