Inspired by the rustic look and feel of the yarn I used, I set out to design a casual everyday sweater with some textured stripes to add to your summer or winter wardrobe! A classic design that is timeless and so versatile! It can be knitted in any cotton or wool blend heavy DK-weight or light Worsted weight yarn. I recommend choosing a yarn that is either solid or tonal which will show the textured stripes most effectively.

Designed to be worn with approx. 3-4” (8-10cm) ease, the sweater has a moderately relaxed fit.

Yarn Requirements for each size:
1 (2, 3, 4) (5, 6, 7) {8, 9}

850 (900, 975, 1050) (1200, 1250, 1300) {1500, 1575} yds
780 (825, 895, 960) (1100, 1150, 1190) {1370, 1450} meters

The yarn used for the sample was Classic Elite Classic Silk which is now discontinued but WEBS carries the exact same yarn called Valley Yarns Hawley in case you want to use that. It comes in a nice variety of colors.

Construction is top-down seamless raglan with only a few ends to work in at the end. Begin with the neckline ribbing then a few short rows to raise the back neck followed by the raglan increases. Body/Sleeves are separated and body is knit separately followed by sleeves. Extensive tips and suggestions are provided in the pattern to customize the length of the sweater and sleeves based on various row gauges and desired lengths.

Pattern contains written instructions, chart, schematics and links to techniques used in the construction.
