Knit this one-piece cowl in the round, from top to bottom. Its shape (reminiscent of a Calla Lily) is designed to fit snuggly around your neck for extra warmth and coziness, and then gradually increase to form a point down the middle of your chest. It is non-fussy and easy to wear, fits well under outer garments, and looks cute as an accessory.

  • there are two yarn options for this pattern

  • yarn option 1: 100 grams of fingering weight, 20 grams of mohair/silk blend, 20 grams of fingering weight in a contrasting colour. (two strands of fingering weight and one strand of mohair held triple)

  • yarn option 2: 60 grams of DK weight, 20 grams of mohair/silk blend, 15 grams of DK weight in a contrasting colour. (one strand of DK weight and one strand of mohair held double)

  • adult, one size

  • this would be a great project for using scrappy yarn for the purl ridges and/or to add stripes

  • video links included for the Long-Tail Cast On, Working the same Stitch Twice, Making one Stitch Below, and the Simple Stretchy Bind Off

  • required notions - three stitch markers, tapestry needle
