Cambo Cowl
The Cambo Cowl is knit in a tube, in the round, twisted a half turn, and then the ends grafted together using kitchener stitch.

Difficulty
This pattern has a simple construction, with a colourwork design that looks impressive but is simple to achieve. This pattern would be ideal for a motivated beginner and above.

Finished Cowl Measurements:
Width: 69.5 cm / 27.25”
Height: 20.5 cm / 8”
Gauge
34 sts x 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 inches) on 3.25 mm circular needles in single stranded colourwork.
Suggested Yarn
MC 106 g or 407 m of fingering-weight/ 4ply yarn
CC 58 g or 223 m of fingering-weight/ 4ply yarn
These qualities of yarns include a 10% buffer to what was used in the sample. This is to account for differences in tension. However, the sample used one 100 g skein of MC and one 100 g skein of CC.
Sample used Rambler Yarn by The Woolly Thistle (80% Dorset; 10% Corredale; 10% Romney. 100 g = 384 m) in the MC shade ‘Natural’ and CC shade ‘Pine’.
Needles
3.25 mm US 3 circular needle with a 40 cm/ 16” cable.
Notions
3 stitch markers, tape measure, waste yarn, 3mm crochet hook (or similar size to knitting needles used), scrap yarn, second set of circular needles in same (or similar) size with 40 cm/ 16” cable.
