The Camellia Wrap is a rectangular-ish shawl with pointy ends. It begins with a leafy center square worked in the round on double pointed needles. A log cabin style frame surrounds the square, and then the ends of the shawl are worked flat, outward from the center.

A lacy floral motif is provided for the camellia-themed logs, but you could also skip the lace and work plain garter stitch for the ultimate relaxing knit. Knitter’s choice!

Pattern requires 4 100g skeins of fingering weight yarn: 2 skeins MC (shown in Italian Ice Speckle), and 2 skein each of 2 contrasting colors (Turkish Delight/pink, and Poseidon/green).

The Camellia Wrap is a streamlined version of my Cherry Blossom Wrapture. It has simplified instructions (no lace pattern for CC2, and each CC log meets a CC log of the same color, rather than options for alternating), and it was written for Knit Picks Independent Design Partnership program. Choose either of these patterns for a relaxing knit. You can see Cherry Blossom Wrapture here.
