Toque
a slightly slouchy Canadian beanie.
Inspired by my husband’s hat, he had for ages. Machine knit to my dismay….
Upon inspection, I was determined to knit a hat in similar construction. I had this lovely skein laying around…so what is a girl to do? Knit on…ha-ha.

Knitted in the round in 1 piece, bottom up. Super cool, I can imagine endless cables possibilities….
Quick and fun knit. Hope you enjoy it.

Gauge 20 st/ 30 rows in a 4 in/10 cm stockinette stitch swatch

Yarn: Malabrigio Rios Aran weight (shown in color Lotus) 1 skein

Supplies: Needles US Size 7 (4.5mm) 16-inch circular, 1 marker, cable needle or 1 DPN of the size US 7, DPNs in Size US 7.

Size fits most, with finished measurements of 18 inches ribbing (meant to be worn with negative ease at rib) and 19 widest point on crown. Height of 10 inches leaves plenty of crown space for a pony tail.
No pompom required as the cables are connected together on top of crown, and we don’t want to cover that !!!
