This lovely bag takes very little time and yarn. Finished size is approx 15cm wide by 18cm deep (6x7in). I used DK yarn and CanCan yarn. One ball of each would be sufficient for several bags of this size. To make a bigger bag, simply cast on more stitches and/or knit more rows.

Please note that the pattern uses stocking stitch so you will need to purl the CanCan as well as knitting it.

I haven’t included instructions for any kind of fastener because I used circular handles and the weight of the ruffles makes the bag gather in towards the centre, keeping it loosely closed.

You will probably want to line the bag, so will need some fabric for that.
