Skills / Techniques Used: Knitting an i-cord

Measurements: The finished size of your Candy Cane will be 6.25” / 17cm high (unbent) and 0.5” / 1cm in width.

Materials

For each Candy Cane you will need:

• Yarn A - 2g / 0.07oz, 3yd / 2.7m of chunky yarn for stripe 1. The yarn used in the pattern picture is Paintbox Yarns Simply Chunky, 100% Acrylic, 100g / 3.5oz, 149yd / 136m per ball, in Rose Red
• Yarn B - 2g / 0.07oz, 3yd / 2.7m of chunky yarn in a contrast colour for stripe 2. The yarn used in the pattern picture is Paintbox Yarns Simply Chunky, 100% Acrylic, 100g / 3.5oz, 149yd / 136m per ball, in Paper White
• 2 x US size 6 / 4mm double pointed needles
• 1 x 6” / 15cm long pipe cleaner at 0.25” / 0.6cm thickness, or use a few thinner ones twisted together
• A tapestry needle
