These classic stripe socks are worked top-down from cuff to toe, with afterthought heels, and having a ribbed cuff. You can work the heel with an alternately short row type. You can change the ribbed cuff to a tabbed hem cuff if you wish, and you can modify the length of the leg to the desired length. These are basic socks, and you can experience different colors, yarns and leg lengths with them.

The instructions in this document are mainly based on working with circular needles but are easily adaptable for working with DPNs too.
