Perfect for gift giving

A fun hat to knit - the hat is worked flat using short rows and then seamed (some photos and links are included to help with that).

The hat is listed as Worsted, but you can also use DK or Aran weight.

You can adjust the sizing to suit your taste, but some suggestions for cast-on numbers are given.

The hat works really well with a wide range of yarns:

• budget-friendly striping yarns like Jewelspun by Sirdar
• fancy dyed yarn by Gauge Dye Works
• classics like Rios
• luxury yarns with silk or cashmere (I used Jupiter Moon Farm Moonshine and have plans for a cashmere one as a Christmas gift)
• tweed yarn

That hat is shown together with a Bonny Wee Scarf, but is a good match for a non-matchy set for many items - particularly any with a garter stitch border.
