The rich, warm colors of these variegated yarns evoke sunlight on rock walls to me. I tried to enhance that effect further by varying the width of the stripes and using more decrease lines in the toe shaping. Wearing the socks heightens the impression of rock strata even more, as the graduated and variegated stripes ripple and flow around each foot.
