Yarn
The cape is knitted with two strands held together: one fingering yarn and one lace mohair and silk yarn. You will need approximately 750 / 800 / 900 m of each.

The sample in the photos is knitted in Bimba Blacklisted (fingering with Stellina, 400 m / 100 g) and Doucette Blacklisted (kid mohair and silk, 420 m / 50 g), i.e. 2 / 2 / 3 skeins of each.

The pattern also suggests other combinations: Yalux or Cybele instead of Bimba, and Silky Lace instead of Doucette. If you don’t like mohair against your skin, the cape can also be knitted in DK yarn alone, at the same gauge.

Gauge
18 sts × 28 rows = 10 × 10 cm in stockinette stitch, two strands held together, 4.5 mm needles, after blocking.
