Cardinals are one of the most beloved birds in the world and the
official bird for 7 different states in the USA. With their gorgeous red feathers, they also symbolize confidence. When I happened upon Madeline Tosh’s gorgeous Blood Runs Cold Pashmina yarn, I knew a shawl design was in my future. This pattern is Faroese style knit from the bottom up with a more intricate gorgeous lace panel balanced by “television knitting” reverse stockinette wings so you will enjoy a nice equilibrium. If red isn’t your color, feel free to substitute with any sportweight yarn. Happy Knitting!!

(P.S. Madtosh Pashmina yarn is not made from Pashmina but is 75% superwash merino wool / 15% silk / 10% cashmere)
