This pattern is for a flattering v-neck cardigan vest, knit in a cable ribbed (caribble) pattern stitch.
Vest is knit flat in 3 pieces (back and 2 fronts), which are joined at the shoulders and sides. Stitches are picked up around the neckband, and worked in garter stitch. Simple short row shaping creates a slightly shaped shawl collar.
Recommended gauge is 6 sts per inch in cable ribbed pattern.

Yarn requirements:
Approximately 750/950/1150 yds DK or light worsted weight yarn.
Recommended yarns include Debbie Bliss Cotton Denim DK, Madelinetosh Tosh DK, or Berroco Vintage DK.
Sample is shown in size small, and used 4 skeins of Debbie Bliss Cotton Denim DK yarn.

Recommended needles:
size 5, straight or circular (for body), and
size 4, 40” circular (for neckband).

Finished chest measurements are approximately 34/38/42”.
Due to the stretchy nature of the fabric created, vest will fit a variety of body shapes and sizes.
You can easily adjust body length, and width of the neckband/collar.
Be sure to purchase extra yarn if making the vest longer and/or the collar wider.

Pattern is clearly written, and includes clear and detailed reverse shaping instructions for right and left front sections.
Cable ribbed pattern is created using right twists - a mini cable technique that does not require a cable needle.

Required skills include casting on, knitting, purling, binding off, right twist mini cable (instructions included), decreases (SSK and K2tog), picking up and knitting stitches (for neckband) and short rows in garter stitch (instructions included).

I hope that you’ll enjoy knitting, and wearing the Caribble Vest For Women.
