Carmen is a DK weight raglan cardigan knitted from the top down with a mirrored colorwork band on the lower body.
It starts flat with the upper body and the V neck. The body is then knitted in the round with stitches cast-on for the steek between the two fronts.
The sleeves are knitted straight in 2/2 ribbing. Button bands are picked up all around the neck open and also knitted in 2/2 ribbing.

You will need two colours of DK weight yarn in the following amounts :
MC : 900 (1100 / 1250), 1350 (1500 / 1650 / 1800) metres
985 (1205 / 1370), 1480 (1640 / 1805 / 1970) yards
CC : 70 (85 / 100), 120 (135 / 150 / 170) metres
80 (95 / 110), 135 (150 / 165 / 185) yards

Sample is knitted with Lain’amourée Athéna DK in Caramel au beurre salé (MC) and Baiser de groseilles (CC).

Needles :
Main Fabric : 4 mm (US 6) circular needles with appropriate length to knit in the round and magic loop or DPNs.
Edgings : 3.5 mm (US 4) circular needles with appropriate length to knit in the round and magic loop or DPNs.

Gauge :
22 sts x 28 rnds per 10 cm – 4” with larger needles in stockinette st after blocking

Stitch markers, progress keeper (recommended), tapestry needle and scissors

Carmen est un gilet raglan en DK tricoté de haut en bas avec une bande de jacquard en miroir sur le bas du corps.
Il se commence à plat pour le haut du gilet et le col V. Le corps est ensuite tricoté en rond avec des mailles montées pour un steek entre les deux devants.
Les manches sont tricotées droites en côtes 2/2. Les pattes de boutonnage sont relevées tout autour de l’encolure et tricotées également en côtes 2/2.
