The Caroline shawl is a pattern for any yarn weight. In the instructions you find suggestions for lace weight to bulky wight yarn.

The needles you use should probably be one to three sizes up from the recommended needle size for the yarn. The fabric should drape and it shouldn’t be stiff.

For instance, I used needle size 3 mm (US 2.5) for a lace weight yarn, and 4 mm (US 6) for a sport weight yarn.
I used 720 meters of lace weight yarn for the gray shawl and 1050 meter of sport weight yarn for the turquoise shawl. Both are big wrap around shawls with a wingspan of 240cm/96 inches.

You can make the shawl as big as you want by adding garter and lace sections, but it’s recommended that you end on a garter section. If you cannot complete the last garter section, because you’re running out of yarn, end the last section earlier, with enough yarn to do the bind off.

For all my designs I have two coupon codes running: 33%off and 66%off . It is my “pay what you can” approach. You can apply the coupon code when you buy one, or several patterns. I would like everybody to be able to access my patterns, so they can enjoy knitting them.
