The #carrietee is a simple yet elegant t-shirt. The small diamond pattern is created entirely with knit and purl stitches, making it wonderfully beginner-friendly. Derived from the French word “carreau” for diamond, the name “Carrie Tee“ was born.

The Carrie Tee is worked seamlessly from the top down. The neckband is worked first, followed by the yoke with raglan increases. Optional short rows can be worked at the back neck for a better fit. After separating, the body and sleeves are worked separately in the round.

There are three ways to finish the Carrie Tee (and to begin it): a classic rib, a delicate picot edge, or a playful ruffled edge.

The Carrie Tee is designed with little to no positive ease. Due to the nature of the stitch pattern, the exact ease cannot be measured. If you prefer a looser fit, I recommend going up one size.

Finished bust circumference:
XXS: 80 cm

S: 91 cm
M: 100 cm

4XL: 153 cm

I am using Knitting for Olive - Merino, but am a very loose knitter. So please do not blindly buy KfO Merino, many testknitters could not achieve the same gauge. Use whatever yarn you feel comfortable with that meets gauge. I would recommend a light yarn suitable for summer.
