The #sweetdiamondsneck is the little sibling of the Sweet Diamonds Sweater - same diamond-textured pattern, condensed into a cozy neck warmer. It might look intimidating at first, but bear with me — the construction is fairly self-explanatory once you get going.

The Sweet Diamonds Neck is worked flat, from side to side, starting at the back. Then each shoulder is worked separately up and over, before being joined to form the front. The front is then worked down with optional decreases, forming a trapez-like shape that tapers toward the neck opening. A ribbed turtleneck collar, picked up along the neck edge, finishes the piece.
The pattern uses the Italian cast-on and Italian bind-off techniques throughout.

Measure your shoulder width, then choose your size:
S/M: 34cm
L/XL: 37cm

The neck I am wearing is a size S/M and is a little bit smaller than the new S/M in this pattern.

Gauge:
20x28 sts in stockinette on 4mm needles

I have used Filcolana Arwetta & Tilia held together, but some testers could not achieve the same gauge. The nack can be knitted with any yarn that meets gauge, whether it’s holding two yarns together for a softer feeling or knitting it with one strand to gain more sturdiness. The choice is yours. :slightly_smiling_face:

Approx. yarn usage:
300 - 350 meters
