Size should be chosen according the child’s chest size, not after age labels. Measure the chest when they are wearing the type of clothes intended to be worn under the sweater. Then add 0.5 to 1.5’’ (or more if you want more room) to that measure, and choose the closest garment measurement.

Materials
• 175 (250, 300, 350, 450) yards of Worsted weight yarn or any other yarn that gives gauge (yardage is given for the short sleeves version)
• 16’’ (or bigger) circular needle and double pointed needles (DPNs) US # 7 (4.5 mm) or any size required to obtain the stockinette stitch gauge
• Other: 5 stitch markers, stitch holders, 1 button (0.5-0.75’’)
