Castilleja, or Indian Paintbrush as it’s more commonly known, has long been one of my favorite mountain wildflowers. The lace pattern used in this slouchy fingering weight hat recalls those bright and angular blooms that can be found flowering in abundance across the mountains of Northern California each spring. Knit the matching scarf to complete the floral ensemble.
