Hi! My name is Maria and I love to knit.

What started out as an idle curiosity about knitting as a young teenager has turned into something bordering along the lines of an obsession. I’ve been designing my own knitting patterns for several years and never seem to be at a loss for inspiration. Anything from the vintage fashions in old time magazine photos and movies to the natural patterns in nature can and often do send me into a frenzy of sketching, swatching and calculating gauges.

I love the evolutionary process of designing knitting patterns, how abstract ideas change and mold into something that is completely tangible. Making something with my own mind and hands is something I never tire of.
