This big, cozy cowl is knit in the round from the top down with sections of garter basket-weave and expanding slipped garter rib. The wedged inset lets it sit on your shoulders comfortably without gaping at the neck and letting in the cold. A super-soft bulky yarn makes it fast and fun in stitch patterns chosen to let variegated yarns shine.

Skills required:
• Knitting in the round
• Increasing
