Materials: 3½ oz. 3 ply knitting wool oddments
Our cat is marmalade yellow, with red bodice, red and blue striped skirt, white apron at front, blue knickers.
The kitten is white with a blue romper.
Approx quantities used:
CAT: ¾ oz. yellow, ½ oz. blue, ¾ oz. red, ½ oz. white.
KITTEN: ½ oz. white, ½ oz. blue.

2 No. 10 and 2 No. 14 knitting pins.

1 pair blue or green buttons ½ in. diameter, 1 pair ⅜ in diameter. Choose smooth plain buttons with two holes or with shank at back.

For finishing: few threads of black and pink wool, scraps of pink silk (preferably locknit) for ear linings, a few threads of horse hair or similar stiff fibre for whiskers.

Varying quantities of wools can be used by a different arrangement of stripes, by knitting apron effect at back as well as front of bodice, and so on.
