Economy jumper made in odd shades of wool. There is no recommended yarn because this design was thought out as a scrappy jumper to use leftover yarn or yarn unpicked (unraveled) from other knitted items and “save coupons” campaign slogan (as shown on the front cover of the pamphlet) in the times of the second World War.

Measurements:
Bust 34” / Sleeve Seam 4” / Length 19”

About 6 ozs. of unpicked wool (2, 3 or 4 ply) in assorted colours.
The original used 5 colours in the check pattern :
Dark green, pink, grey, pale green and pale blue.
The dark green was also used for the yoke, sleeves and side panels, taking 3½ ozs. in all.
This was 3-ply in the case of the original model.
The other 4 colours were in various plys (2, 3 and 4), and about ½ oz. of each was used.

2 No. 9 and 2 No. 12 knitting needles

2 press studs

Tension: 7 sts = 1” in moss stitch using 3 ply wool in side and yoke panels
