Cat Face Toes
For those who love cats and socks, here is a pair of socks with cats on the toes. You can make these into ankle socks or regular sized socks, but either way, they knit up quickly on size 2 US needles with fingering yarn that falls on the heavy side, and make a good last-minute gift.
If you have solid-colored yarn left over from other sock projects, this project is a way to make use of those scraps.
It took several years to get to the point where I felt like I could publish this. Many thanks to amandjenks for her patience and generous help with testing.
SUPPLIES
-
Size 2 US circular needles or, if you prefer, three size 2 US DPNs
-
Main color (MC): 50-75g fingering weight yarn - less if you wish to make ankle socks, more if you wish to knit a full leg. Pictured here: hand-spun fingering with a slightly heavier weight.
-
Contrast color (CC): 25-50g of DK or worsted weight yarn. I used a small amount of Knit It Up Squishy.
-
Stitch marker, if desired
