Here’s a pattern that practically meows its way into your heart! Easy, worked flat with a tiny amount of intarsia (or knit the cat without the color work and work duplicate stitch for the eyes, mouth, and nose. Change up the colors and you’ve got a boy’s mitt!

The cats on the gloves is easy to read charts (one for each hand) with directions included to work from the chart. The ribbing directions on top and bottom of the mitt are written out. The cat is worked in stockinette/stocking stitch for ease.

A note on the yarn: at my shop we consider Cascade 220 Superwash Sport yarn to be a dk weight. It works to a dk gauge. If you choose another yarn, make sure it is heavy sport or dk weight.

If you need a larger mitt, go up a size in your needles to get 1/2 stitch less in row gauge.

Have fun!
