I am so excited to bring you this newest Cat’s Cradle Baby Blanket! It was designed for my amazing friend Mady of Trendy or What Knot Yarn Shop.

I hope you will love making this gorgeous heirloom baby blanket that is a beautiful, trendy, stylish addition to any nursery, crib, stroller, play blanket, playpen or for floor play. Makes an excellent prop as well for photos. Look for the full sized blanket, throw and lapghan coming soon along with the rest of the Cat’s Cradle Collection being released later this year.

Directions are included for a Security Blanket - 12” x 12”, a Preemie Blanket 20” x 20”, Cradle 30” x 30” and Full Sized Baby Blanket 34” x 34”

Made with 2 balls of Red Heart Super Saver Ombre for the full sized Baby Blanket - that comes in such a wide range of colors, you can really mix and match with your space, nursery, gift in a special color, or even make it as a gorgeous stash busting project with yarn you have leftover from other worsted # 4 weight projects.

I find YarnSub online super helpful if you are wanting to substitute yarns with appropriate yardage, weight and wpi.

US Terms, English only, Intermediate skills, or an advanced beginner. Links to online example of stitchwork at A Stitch A Day in pattern notes if you need.

Don’t be afraid of textured stitches that look or complicated - it is really just the placement of ordinary stitches that give it that timeless, textured and irresistibly, beautifully defined look. You will have it down in no time, and get seriously #hookedontexture with me!

Can be adjustable for sizing, pattern is written for a 34” x 34” Blocked Baby Blanket, (32” x 32” Unblocked)

Other materials - 5mm hook (or hook needed to meet gauge) - stitch marker, wool needle
