This hat features a double rim for extra warm ears. A template is included in the pattern to make a pompom from the leftovers of a 3.5 oz/ 100 gr skein. The crown decreases are integrated in the cable pattern, so the pompom is optional.

The weight of the hat without the pompom is around 2.8 oz/ 80 gr.

The stockinette rim is knit at a tight gauge to produce a dense, elastic fabric.

Available in sizes:

S/M, 21.5” to 22.5”/ 55 to 57 cm

M/L, 23” to 24” / 58 to 60 cm

The pattern is classed as advanced for two reasons:

• Experience with yarn substitution (or correction for gauge) helps to ensure a fit conform the pattern sizing.

• The crown decreases are integrated into the cable pattern, so I would not recommend this as a first cable project.
