This pretty lace cowl uses the Bellflower lace stitch, bordered by eyelet strips, to form a feminine accessory. It is worked flat from a provisional cast-on, with the ends grafted together to close the loop. Alternatively, instructions are also given for a longer flat scarf (extra yardage will be needed for this, recommended up to 450 yards). The pattern works well in solid or semi-solid yarn colourways, or in subtle multicolours. I do not recommend wild multicolours or the lace pattern will be lost.

The lace pattern is charted only.
The crochet hook is needed only for the crochet chain cast-on. If you prefer to work an alternative provisional cast-on, you will not need the crochet hook.

You need to be able to: work a crochet chain provisional cast-on, work lace from a chart, work yarn-over increases and multiple-stitch decreases (knitting 2 stitches, 3 stitches or 4 stitches together), graft using Kitchener stitch.
