This listing is for the Celtic or Irish Cross pattern. This can be used as a wall hanging, or as a small cloth to cover the top of an end table. It is also beautiful for a prayer corner, or home altar.

The Celtic or Irish Cross consists of a cross, and a circle around the middle. This circle in the middle historically symbolizes God’s eternal love for us that has no end.

The pattern features a chart, as well as written directions. The tips page has a link to a youtube video for learning how to read filet crochet charts like mine, with the 3dc squares. The written pattern is there to help you if you struggle with remembering if you are reading the chart right to left, or left to right. The written directions also have arrows to help you. Most patterns you see with filet crochet have only the chart, so it is my hope that once you have made this pattern, you will be good at reading charts, because that will help open your world to filet crochet.
